FDLE arrests two for child support scam | 5/4/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Steven Rembert, 44, and Frances Rembert, 50, of Orlando.
 

Five Law Enforcement Officers inducted into Hall of Fame | 5/1/2016
Current and former law enforcement officers from throughout Florida were honored Sunday at Florida’s first Law Enforcement Officers’ Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.   
 

FDLE arrests Rockledge firefighter for theft | 4/29/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Jeffrey Hughey, 54, of Rockledge, Florida on grand theft. Hughey is a battalion chief with the Rockledge Fire Department.   He turned himself in to the Brevard County Jail on Friday.

 

Update on Madison kidnapping case | 4/29/2016
Investigators began delivering flyers door-to-door in Madison, Florida searching for information on the kidnapping of 7-year-old Bryan Williamson.  The child was kidnapped from Gibson Trailer Park on April 17, 2016 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and dropped off in Jacksonville between 5 and 7 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016.  
 

FDLE arrests Crestview man for sex crimes | 4/29/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Timothy Lee Parish, 32, of 5141 Eagle Way, Crestview, Florida on Monday for online solicitation of a child for sexual conduct and use of a two-way device to facilitate a felony. 
 

Hendry County remains identified as missing person Alberta Harris | 4/26/2016
FDLE agents confirmed the identity of remains found in Hendry County as those of missing person Alberta Harris, 50. The 20th Circuit Medical Examiner’s Office identified the remains. 
 

FDLE and FBI offer $50,000 reward for the arrest of Madison County child abductor | 4/21/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced today a combined reward of $50,000 for information leading to identification, arrest, and conviction of the persons responsible for the abduction of 7-year-old Bryan Williamson of Madison, Florida.
 

FDLE arrests former Suwannee CI correctional officer | 4/20/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement yesterday arrested Michael Dale Lindblade, 28, on charges of official misconduct, unlawful compensation and removal of contraband. Lindblade was a correctional officer with Suwannee Correctional Institution. 

 

FDLE arrests police officer for felony battery | 4/15/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Christopher William Eisen II, 47, on charges of felony battery against a suspect.  Eisen is a police officer with Melbourne PD. 

 

Wildwood sex offender arrested for attempting to solicit a child | 4/14/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Joseph Robert Meahl, 50, of 508 2nd Ave., Wildwood, Florida on federal charges of coercion and enticement after he attempted to meet a child for sex.
 

FDLE arrests former SCSO evidence custodian | 4/13/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Alzada Jenkins, 64, who was the evidence custodian at the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.   
 

FDLE arrests Perry man for child pornography | 4/13/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with the assistance of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, today arrested Edward Carl Pitts, 63, of 471 Leon Ward Road, Perry, Florida, on 4 counts of possession of child pornography.

 

FDLE finds missing Georgia child safely | 4/12/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement found missing Georgia toddler, 18-month-old Carter Johnson, in an apartment on NW 57th Court in Tamarac, Florida.  A Georgia AMBER Alert had been issued for the child last Friday after his noncustodial father, Willis Johnson, 31, took him across state lines.   

 

UPDATED NEWS RELEASE Former police officer charged with witness tampering | 4/8/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announce an additional charge of witness tampering against former Carrabelle PD Officer Glenn Darius Hampton May, 50, after an investigation showed he was communicating with the victim in his sexual battery case.
 

Florida Leadership Academy graduates 36 law enforcement supervisors | 4/8/2016
The Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute graduated 36 first-line supervisors from the Florida Leadership Academy today. These graduates serve in leadership roles and represent 26 criminal justice agencies throughout the state.

Buyer Beware – deadly super pill found in Central Florida | 4/5/2016
Agents with FDLE Orlando are warning residents about a drug known as “super pill” which is now being found in Central Florida and contains deadly levels of fentanyl.

FDLE agents arrested Jeremy Blurton, 18, of Orlando, Florida on 3 counts of possession of child pornography and for violation of probation.
 

FDLE arrests four in organized theft ring | 4/1/2016
FDLE arrested four suspects charged with dealing in stolen property and conspiracy to commit dealing in stolen property after investigators believe they routinely and knowingly purchased and resold stolen semi-tractor engines.
 

FDLE arrests Melbourne man for child pornography | 3/30/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement this morning arrested Arno Werner, 57, of Melbourne, Florida, on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
