Florida crime down in the first half of 2016 | 11/28/2016
Crime continues to fall across Florida according to the 2016 Semi-Annual Uniform Crime Report.  The report shows Florida’s crime volume dropped 3.4 percent. 
 

Orange Park man arrested for child pornography | 11/14/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with assistance from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Scott Edward Stuart, 40, of 2853 Burris Road, Orange Park, Fla., on charges of possession and transmission of child pornography.

 

Tallahassee sex offender arrested for child pornography | 11/10/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Thomas Allen Benton, 70, of 1530 Live Oak Drive Apt. C-1, Tallahassee, Florida. Benton, a registered sex offender, is charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.  

 

FDLE, Crestview PD arrest man for 2006 Crestview homicide | 11/8/2016
FDLE and Crestview PD arrested David Russell Holbrook Jr., 42, of Huntsville, Alabama for first degree murder in the 2006 homicide of Melissa Howard.
 

FDLE arrests Crawfordville man for child pornography | 11/8/2016
FDLE arrested Daniel Hugh Hornbrook on 27 counts of possession child pornography.  
 

FDLE arrests Lehigh Acres man for child pornography | 11/3/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Gary Hall, 62, of 4547 25th Street SW, Lehigh Acres, Florida, for two counts of possession of child pornography, a third degree felony.


 

Former FAMU admissions officer arrested for bribery | 11/2/2016
FDLE arrested Leman Ulee for bribery and official misconduct for receiving unauthorized payments from prospective students and family members. 
 

Pensacola registered sex offender arrested for child pornography | 10/28/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with assistance from Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Homeland Security today arrested Hobart Arthur Simpson, 74, of 6763 Rickwood Dr. Pensacola, Florida. Simpson, a registered sexual offender is charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of transmission of child pornography. 

 

FDLE expands “If You See Something, Say Something™” Campaign | 10/24/2016
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is unveiling Florida’s online “If You See Something, Say Something™” Tool Kit, an important resource providing safety information for businesses and citizens.  The tool kit contains a variety of educational videos and flyers from general awareness to industry specific information for more than a dozen businesses including hotels, transportation and healthcare.  
 

Police officer charged after grand jury indictment | 10/21/2016
Carlos Anglero, 34, is charged with shooting into an occupied residence following an Orange County grand jury indictment for his actions during a Feb. 6, 2016 officer involved shooting in Ocoee, Florida.  Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigated the case.  Anglero is a police officer with Ocoee PD.

Pensacola man arrested for child pornography | 10/4/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with the assistance of the Pensacola Police Department, today arrested Lawrence Melvin Lacoste, Jr. 60, of 10416 Tam O Shanter Rd. Pensacola, Florida, on 20 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of transmission of child pornography.    

 

Former FDOT Contractor Sentenced to Four Years in Prison | 10/4/2016
Tracy Joseph Hoffman, 54, of Port St. Lucie, Fla. was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to fraudulent billing activities. 
 

FDLE arrests Kissimmee City Commissioner | 9/27/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Kissimmee City Commissioner Sara Shaw and her boyfriend Peter Sendtko on charges of fraudulent use of a deceased personal identification number and grand theft. In addition, Sendtko is charged with dealing in stolen property.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Floyd Eugene Parrish of Bristol, Fla., for second degree murder with a firearm. 
 

FDLE arrests Plant City man for Child Pornography | 9/23/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with the assistance of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, today arrested Michael Anthony Ford, 49, of 2801 Mud Lake Road Apt. 12, Plant City, Florida, on 40 counts of possession of child pornography.
 

FDLE busts fraud ring in Tampa | 9/22/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with assistance from the Hernando and Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Offices and Florida Department of Corrections Brooksville Probation Office, yesterday arrested three people for organized fraud, grand theft, conspiracy to commit grand theft, conspiracy to commit organized fraud and money laundering.
 

FDLE arrests Naples man for child pornography | 8/12/2016
Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents today arrested David Ross Zipprich, 34, of 1270 Jeronimo Drive, Naples, FL, for ten counts of possession of child pornography, a third degree felony, and five counts of promoting child pornography, a second degree felony.
 

FDLE arrests pair in murder, attempted murder and armed robbery of Hendry County couple | 8/10/2016
Agents with the FDLE Sebring Field Office, assisted by the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office today arrested Bubba O’Connor, 42, and Wendy Soucier, 49, both of Lehigh Acres. The pair is charged with murder, attempted second degree murder and armed robbery.
 

FDLE arrests suspect in Alberta Harris homicide | 8/10/2016
FDLE agents and detectives with the Fort Myers Police Department yesterday arrested Eugene Johnson, 61, for the murder of Alberta Harris. Johnson has been charged with second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
