Services Offered

 

  • Provides all crimes, all hazards analysis to proactively identify threats, crime trends and vulnerabilities that may impact Florida and its residents
  • Acts as the state’s “sentinel” with the 24/7 Intelligence Watch and Warning Desk providing vital awareness and emergency management information to key decision makers 
  • Serves as the central collection point for the Florida “If You See Something, Say Something TM” campaign and suspicious activity reporting in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security and Florida’s regional fusion centers
  • Provides cyber security training and information for government, businesses and the public through Secure Florida to ensure the safeguarding of our information systems, reducing vulnerability to cyber attacks, and increasing responsiveness to threats
  • Gathers information, conducts analysis, develops intelligence and disseminates analytical findings, products and briefings to key stakeholders
  • Assists federal, state, local, tribal and territorial partners with requests for information
  • Serves as a conduit for requests for the other 78 fusion centers across the U.S. and Interpol
  • Protects civil liberties and privacy interests of American citizens throughout the intelligence process


Florida Department of Law Enforcement Priorities

FDLE is composed of five areas: Executive Direction and Business Support, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Information, Criminal Justice Professionalism and Florida Capitol Police. FDLE’s duties, responsibilities and procedures are mandated through Chapter 943, FS, and Chapter 11, FAC.
