March 12, 2025

YULEE, Fla – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Mark Renner, 68, of Yulee, on 26 counts for possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is a result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

The investigation began in Dec. 2022 when FDLE agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMEC) about files depicting the sexual abuse of children being uploaded from a peer-to-peer website. The investigation revealed the uploads originated from Renner’s residence.

In Sept. 2023, FDLE agents and analysts conducted a search warrant of Renner’s residence and seized numerous electronic devices. Forensic analysis revealed more than 480 files of child sexual abuse material on the devices.

On Mar. 10, FDLE arrested Renner and transported him to Nassau County Jail. The case is being prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Fourth Judicial Circuit.

FDLE Jacksonville is investigating the case. The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.
