BRONSON, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Christina Nicole Gore, 40, of Bell, on one count each for organized scheme to defraud and fraudulent use of a credit card two or more times. Gore is the former finance director for the Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

The investigation began on Jan. 3, 2025, at the request of Levy County Sheriff Bobby McCallum. Throughout the investigation, FDLE found that between May 2024 and November 2024, Gore used multiple credit cards issued to LCSO for personal purchases approximately 111 times totaling $13,780.55. The charges include purchases such as fast food, gas, groceries, vehicle maintenance, elective medical treatments, preloaded Visa cards, payments to lending companies and hotel stays.

FDLE also found where Gore used funds from LCSO’s checking account approximately 17 times for a total of $8,657.51. These charges were for payments on Gores personal vehicle and credit card.

Overall, FDLE found that Gore systematically used LCSO funds for personal gain with the total loss being $22,438.06.
