FDLE arrests Kissimmee man for possession of child sexual abuse material

For Immediate Release
February 14, 2025

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Miguel Angel Giraldo, 19, of Kissimmee, on 10 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The arrest is the result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

The investigation began in Sept. 2024 when agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), alerting agents to files depicting the sexual abuse of children being uploaded on a social media account. The investigation identified Giraldo as the account user and his residence as the location where the IP address was being used.

FDLE agents visited Giraldo’s residence on Feb. 7, and he voluntarily spoke with agents. Based on the investigation, his cellphone was seized, with probable cause. A preliminary forensic analysis located multiple files depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as two years old.

Giraldo was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.

The investigation was conducted by FDLE’s Orlando Cybercrime unit.
