FDLE arrests Kissimmee man for possession of child sexual abuse material

For Immediate Release
April 10, 2025

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Pedro Dixon Cruz, 32, of Kissimmee, on one count of possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The arrest is the result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

The investigation began on February 25 when agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMEC) about an online account uploading files depicting children being sexually abused. The investigation revealed that an individual was sharing digital child exploitation images and video files through a Kik account and Cruz was identified as the account holder.

On April 8, FDLE agents served a search warrant at Cruz’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices. A preliminary forensic analysis located child exploitation files involving pre-pubescent children, some as young as 3 years old.

Cruz was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail. He is being held without bond pending first appearance. The case will be prosecuted by Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.

The FDLE Orlando Cybercrime Task Force is investigating the case, which remains active.
