MINNEOLA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announces the arrest of Jeremy Allen Dyal, 38, of Minneola, on 15 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began on Aug. 28 when FDLE received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), alerting agents to files depicting the sexual abuse of children being uploaded to a leased Internet Protocol (IP) address. The investigation identified Dyal’s residence as the location where the IP address was being used.

FDLE Orlando Cybercrime Task Force agents served a warrant at Dyal’s house on Sept. 24 and several electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis. A subsequent examination located multiple files depicting the sexual exploitation of children.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dyal on Oct. 3 on an active FDLE warrant and he was booked into the Lake County Jail. The case will be prosecuted by Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
