Instructions for media attending the MSD Commission Meeting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon through Thursday, October 9-11, 2018, in the Miccosukee Salon Conference Room of the Doubletree by Hilton Sunrise-Sawgrass. Please note this meeting is being held at a different location than previous meetings.

What: Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission Meeting
 
Time: Meeting starts at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.  On Thursday, the open session starts at 2 p.m.
Doors to the conference room will open 45 minutes prior to the start of the open session for media and 30 minutes prior to the open session for the public.  The conference room will close 15 minutes after completion of the open sessions.

Media Availability:  There will be brief media availabilities with Sheriff Gualtieri prior to the closed sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday and following the open session on Thursday.
 
The Florida Channel will be broadcasting the public portion of the meeting and will be streaming it live at: https://thefloridachannel.org/.
 
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission is an independent body with members appointed by Governor Rick Scott, Senate President Joe Negron and House Speaker Richard Corcoran.  Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri is the chairman.
