Instructions for media attending the MSD Commission Meeting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Broward College North Campus in the OMNI Auditorium.  With the organizational business associated with the first meeting, the Commission agenda is full. There will be a limited amount of time for public comments and a media availability.  The Commission may choose to expand these times on future agendas if necessary.

Doors open to the media at 7:45 a.m. and to the general public at 8 a.m.  The public portion of the meeting is from 8:30 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.  Commission Chairman Sheriff Bob Gualtieri, along with other commission members, will hold a 15 minute media availability in the OMNI Auditorium around
3:15 p.m. or as soon as the public portion of the agenda is complete.

Time: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
Following the public portion of the meeting, the Commission will travel to Stoneman Douglas High School for a closed law enforcement sensitive briefing.
Media Availability: Following the public session around 3:15 p.m.

Parking: Parking is available adjacent to the OMNI.
 
The OMNI has a previously scheduled event Tuesday evening. The auditorium will be open for reporters until 5:30 p.m. for live shots.  Live shots can also be done outside the auditorium until 6:30 p.m.
 
The Florida Channel will be broadcasting the public portion of the meeting and will be streaming it live at https://thefloridachannel.org/.
