Carlos Anglero, 34, is charged with shooting into an occupied residence following an Orange County grand jury indictment for his actions during a Feb. 6, 2016 officer involved shooting in Ocoee, Florida.  Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigated the case.  Anglero is a police officer with Ocoee PD.
 
Ocoee Police Chief Charles J. Brown said, “The City of Ocoee Police Department has been made aware of the State Attorney’s Office indictment of Carlos Anglero.  As Chief of Police for the City of Ocoee, I hold my officers to the highest ethical standards.  Based on the indictment, Carlos Anglero has been placed on administrative leave without pay until the criminal charges and the internal complaint have been resolved.  As an organization, the City of Ocoee Police Department has cooperated with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s investigation and will continue to cooperate with the State Attorney’ Office.” 
 
Anglero turned himself into the Orange County Jail last night.  The case is being prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 9th Judicial Circuit.
