Orange Park man arrested for child pornography

ORANGE PARK, Fla. –Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with assistance from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Scott Edward Stuart, 40, of 2853 Burris Road, Orange Park, Fla., on charges of possession and transmission of child pornography.

FDLE received a tip that a computer located at Stuart’s residence was being used to download and transmit child pornography. A search warrant was executed in October and several items of digital evidence were recovered for forensic examination. An initial review of files revealed child pornography and video files which depicted the sexual abuse of children under the age of 10.

During the investigation Stuart alleged that his twin brother Robert Stuart, an Ohio resident, was responsible for the pornography. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio seized Robert Stuart’s computer last week and the initial scan indicated multiple images of child pornography. Ohio authorities are conducting forensic analysis of his computer.

Scott Edward Stuart was booked into the Clay County Jail on November 1st. The investigation will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 4th Judicial Circuit.
