FDLE arrests pair in murder, attempted murder and armed robbery of Hendry County couple

 
Agents with the FDLE Sebring Field Office, assisted by the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office today arrested Bubba O’Connor, 42, and Wendy Soucier, 49, both of Lehigh Acres. The pair is charged with murder, attempted second degree murder and armed robbery.
 
Investigators believe that O’Conner and Soucier traveled to the home of Cherry Ermine, 72, and Frank Jansson, 69, of Hendry County on August 6, 2016 with the intent to obtain money. O’Connor and Soucier confronted the homeowners, Ermine and Jansson, and an altercation ensued.  Ms. Ermine was killed and Mr. Jansson received life threatening injuries.
 
O’Connor and Soucier were booked into the Hendry County Jail without bond. This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.
