FDLE arrests two for manufacturing fraudulent credit cards

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Ricardo Ignacio Pulido Armada, 45, 700 Southwest 65th Avenue, Miami and Diley Sanchez Cepero, 45, 251 Northwest Boulevard, Miami, today on 37 counts each of forgery of credit cards, trafficking in counterfeit credit cards and sale of the credit cards of another. Both suspects were arrested at their homes this morning.

FDLE agents believe Armada and Cepero manufactured and sold fraudulent credit cards to lower level scammers who would encrypt the cards with the personal information of others before using them to purchase goods or gift cards.

The investigation began in 2012 by FDLE’s Orlando Regional Operations Center’s Brevard Field Office.  Undercover FDLE agents, working with a cooperative defendant, purchased numerous fraudulent credit cards from Armada and Cepero.   A pack of roughly 20 fraudulent cards cost $200.

Armada and Cepero were booked into Turner Gilford Knight Correctional Center.  The Office of the State Attorney, 11th Judicial Circuit will prosecute this case.
