FDLE agents arrest Plant City man for child pornography

PLANT CITY, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Michael Lawrence Rodgers, 56, of Plant City, Fla., on 20 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of resisting an officer without violence.     
 
On Nov. 16, 2015, FDLE agents executed a search warrant at Rodger’s residence, 8106 Elk View Way, Plant City, Fla. The investigation began after agents determined that a computer at Rodger’s residence was being used to share files containing child pornography on the internet. Several items of digital evidence were recovered for forensic examination.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations assisted in this investigation.
 
Rodgers was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail with bond to be determined. This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 13th Judicial Circuit.
