FDLE member appointed to National Data Collection and Statistics Subcommittee

 
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Senior Management Analyst Supervisor, Susan Burton, was appointed to the data collection and statistics subcommittee within the Office of Justice Programs Science Advisory Board.
 
SMAS Burton, assigned to the CJIS Division at FDLE, is responsible for the Florida Statistical Analysis Center (FSAC). The subcommittee Burton will join was created in 2010 and consists of 25 experts and scholars who were appointed by the Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General, Karol V. Mason, from the fields of criminology, statistics, sociology, criminal and juvenile justice.
 
In her role on the subcommittee, SMAS Burton will provide input,  guidance and research recommendations in the areas of science and statistics. The board ensures federal programs are scientifically sound for the purpose of enhancing the performance and impact made by the National law enforcement community.
