Mary Esther man arrested for possession of child pornography

MARY ESTHER, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee and Pensacola Regional Operations Centers, with the assistance of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Lloyd Dale Shannon, 43, of Mary Esther, Fla. for 10 counts of possession child pornography.

Shannon was identified after FDLE’s Tallahassee Regional Operations Center Cyber Crime Squad initiated an undercover investigation into persons utilizing the Internet to collect and distribute child pornography. On October 17, agents served a search warrant at 70 Ruby Circle, Mary Esther, Fla., and located numerous digital image and video files of child pornography on Shannon’s computer.

Shannon was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail. The investigation will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 1st Judicial Circuit.
