Madison County Sheriff’s Office investigating Saturday morning shooting

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that at approximately 9:30 AM on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an individual alleging he had been shot and was at his residence on Georgetown Road.  MCSO deputies and emergency medical services personnel immediately responded to the caller and confirmed the subject had been shot. Officers on scene secured the area and the victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
 
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee Regional Operations Center assisted in processing the crime scene and is providing investigative assistance to the MCSO Criminal Investigation Division. The victim remains hospitalized in stable, but serious condition.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the MCSO at (850) 973-4001.
