Tampa man arrested for traveling to meet a minor for sex

TAMPA- Special agents from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tampa Bay Regional Operations Center High Tech Crime Squad arrested Timothy William Schroyer, 42, of Tampa, Fla. on two counts of online solicitation of a parent to have sex with a child and one count of traveling to meet a minor for sex. 
 
Schroyer allegedly made several solicitations online and by telephone to have sex with a 10-year-old girl and agreed to meet with the girl and her mother in a parking lot on Nebraska Ave. in Tampa.  Just before midnight, on Feb. 18, FDLE agents arrested Schroyer.  A subsequent search of his home yielded two computers that will be analyzed for evidence.  
 
Schroyer was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.  The Office of the State Attorney, 13th Judicial Circuit, will prosecute this case.
