Online Mandatory Training

Mental Health and Wellness for Criminal Justice Officers

The 2022 Florida Legislature passed House Bill 3, creating s. 943.1745, F.S. This bill requires the CJSTC to create instruction for law enforcement officers on health and wellness principles. All law enforcement officers must complete the training every four years as part of the 40 hours of instruction for continued employment as an officer, beginning with the July 1, 2023 mandatory retraining cycle.

The course may count for 2 hours toward the officers’ 40 hours of mandatory retraining.

Important message: Once you complete the course, you will be asked to enter your name and email address. Your proof of completion will be sent to the email address you enter. You may use any email address. You will print that email and submit it to your agency’s designated training coordinator.
