Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse Advisory Board (MEPICAB)
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse Advisory Board (MEPICAB) was created in 1996 to address issues regarding Florida's missing children. The MEPICAB has since evolved with the 2008 legislation expanding the Clearinghouse to work on missing endangered adults and seniors.
The Board mission it to promote the safety of Florida's children and other vulnerable populations. Their vision is to lead the nation in the education and implementation of effective missing person prevention and recovery strategies.
The MEPICAB 2025 - 2027 Strategic Plan's mission objectives include:
Board members represent a diverse mix of law enforcement officials, impacted missing person families, representatives of government agencies and missing children non-profit organizations as well as members of the business community with interest in missing person issues. Board members are appointed by FDLE's Commissioner.
The Advisory Board typically meets at least quarterly to discuss and implement plans and policies that create strategies to raise awareness of the high number of children and endangered adults that go missing every year.
