The National Criminal History Improvement Program (NCHIP) provides funding to improve the quality, timeliness, and accessibility of criminal history records and related information. Criminal Justice Grants (CJG) serves as the designated pass-through entity for the program and administers funds approved through the Florida Criminal and Juvenile Justice Information System (CJJIS) Council’s Federal Funding Workgroup (FFWG) on an annual basis.
FDLE is composed of five areas: Executive Direction and Business Support, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Information, Criminal Justice Professionalism and Florida Capitol Police. FDLE’s duties, responsibilities and procedures are mandated through Chapter 943, FS, and Chapter 11, FAC.
