FDLE Invites Public to Submit Comments to CALEA
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 8, 2026
In support of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s ongoing commitment to professional excellence and continuous improvement, the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) Public Comment Portal is available for community members to submit comments, commendations, or concerns regarding the Department’s compliance with CALEA standards and overall candidacy for continued accredited status. The purpose of the accreditation process is to provide the Department with information that supports continuous improvement and ensures alignment with nationally recognized best practices in law enforcement.
The public portal can be accessed here: CALEA Comments. This link is available year‑round on the FDLE homepage (FDLE – Home).
Please note that CALEA is not an investigatory body, and the public portal should not be used to submit information for investigative purposes. All comments submitted through the CALEA Public Comment Portal are reviewed in the context of their relevance to FDLE’s compliance with CALEA standards and accreditation principles. The portal is maintained by CALEA, and all feedback is transmitted directly to them.
For criminal complaints, you may contact the FDLE regional office in your area (FDLE – FDLE Regions and Divisions). If you have a complaint regarding an FDLE member or FDLE services, please use the following link to submit your complaint: FDLE - OIG Complaints.
