In compliance with Office of Justice Programs (OJP) requirements, FDLE requires the grant manager of the recipient entity to complete a two part Civil Rights Training and maintain copies of the training certificates within their grant file(s). Module 1 of the training provides a basic overview of the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) and discusses the civil rights compliance requirements for recipients (at any tier) of OJP Grant Funding. Module 2 discusses "special" civil rights related compliance requirements in addition to the ones described in Module 1.
FDLE is composed of five areas: Executive Direction and Business Support, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Information, Criminal Justice Professionalism and Florida Capitol Police. FDLE’s duties, responsibilities and procedures are mandated through Chapter 943, FS, and Chapter 11, FAC.
