Thank you for visiting the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s website. Your privacy is very important to us. FDLE web sites and web-accessible systems may automatically gather information to help the FDLE improve the content of its web sites, manage the use of network resources, and enforce acceptable use policies. This information will normally be limited to the internet domain of the user, IP address of the user, browser platform being used, date and time of access, and web pages accessed. Specific web sites or web-accessible systems may capture more extensive information. With respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information, it is not the intent of the FDLE to sell information. It is FDLE’s intent to comply with applicable federal law, state law, policies, and administrative rules. To the extent applicable, users should review the terms and conditions which govern the use of a specific web site and/or web-accessible system for more information.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is an administrative agency of the State of Florida. As such, FDLE is subject to Florida Public Records Law as defined by Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. All users of FDLE web sites and web-accessible systems should be aware that Florida Public Records Law may require FDLE to disclose any records that the agency has made or received in the course of conducting state business, unless there is a specific legal basis for maintaining the privacy of the requested records.

If you choose to share personal information, such as by subscribing to an e-newsletter, sending a message, or filling out an electronic form with personal information, unless specifically exempted by Florida Statutes, such information is a public record under Florida's Government in the Sunshine Laws and available for public inspection upon demand.

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses provided to state agencies are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, please do not submit your e-mail address here. Instead, contact our office by phone or in writing for further assistance.
