The OIG Customer Complaints Unit is the central clearinghouse for complaints against FDLE services and members. Complaints against FDLE services and members can be made electronically through the form below or by telephone, mail or in-person. The OIG Customer Complaints Unit will only process complaints against FDLE service or members.

Office of Inspector General

The FDLE OIG only has the authority to investigate complaints against FDLE service or members.

For complaints that involve matters not under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, complainants should file with the Office of Inspector General for the agency or department that has jurisdiction over the complaint. FDLE is composed of five areas: Executive Direction and Business Support, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Information, Criminal Justice Professionalism and Florida Capitol Police. FDLE’s duties, responsibilities and procedures are mandated through Chapter 943, FS, and Chapter 11, FAC.
