FDLE arrests sexual predator for child pornography

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Fort Myers Regional Operations Center Cyber/High-Tech Squad arrested James Edward Corporal, 31, of Fort Myers, Fla., for 10 counts of possession of computer files depicting the sexual exploitation of children, a third degree felony. Corporal is a registered sexual predator.   
 
FDLE’s Cyber/High-Tech Squad was conducting an undercover online investigation involving the downloading of child pornography where they became aware of Corporal’s activities. Special Agents met with Corporal at South Florida Gold Exchange located at 16450 San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers. Corporal was a part-time employee at the business. Information was developed that Corporal downloaded child pornography and saved the images to a mass media storage device. The investigation revealed numerous computer videos of child pornography. Additional charges may be filed upon further forensic analysis of the evidence seized. 
 
Corporal was booked into the Lee County Jail.  The investigation will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 20th Judicial Circuit.
