FDLE Arrests Two Seffner Men for Trafficking in Fentanyl

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Hector Manuel Rosa, 48, and David Gonzalez-Sanchez, 36, both of Seffner, on one count each of trafficking in fentanyl and conspiracy to traffic in fentanyl.

 

The investigation began when FDLE received information that a drug trafficking organization was trafficking fentanyl in the Tampa area. As a result of the investigation, agents seized more than 40,000 fentanyl pills, worth an approximate street value of $2 million.

 

FDLE agents arrested Sanchez on March 12 and transported him to the Polk County Jail. Rosa was arrested on March 17 and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.

 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the Tampa Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations and the Drug Enforcement Administration assisted in the investigation.

 

The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is prosecuting the case.

 

The investigation remains active.
