FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 9, 2026
NORTH PORT, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Terry Lee Cramer, 72, of North Port, on 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and four counts of possession of material depicting sexual activities involving animals. This arrest is the result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting child sexual abuse.
FDLE’s investigation began on Dec. 1, 2025, when agents conducted an investigation of a peer-to-peer file-sharing network to identify individuals sharing child sexual abuse material. The investigation revealed an IP address that was downloading files depicting the sexual abuse of children. Investigators connected the IP address to Cramer’s residence in North Port.
On Feb. 10, 2026, FDLE agents, with the assistance of the North Port Police Department, conducted a search warrant at Cramer’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices. Further digital forensic analysis resulted in the identification of numerous files containing images that depicted child sexual abuse and bestiality.
On March 5, FDLE arrested Cramer and transported him to Sarasota County Jail.
The North Port Police Department assisted with the arrest operation.
The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is prosecuting the case.
The investigation remains active.
