JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announces the arrest of Zachariah Salak, 42, of Jacksonville, on one count of transmission of harmful material to a minor and numerous registration requirement violations. This arrest is a result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting child sexual abuse.

Salak is charged with one count of transmission of harmful material to a minor, eight counts of failure of a sexual predator to register email address or internet identifier, three counts of tampering with evidence, one count of failure of a sexual predator to report a change in residential address, one count of failure of a sexual predator to report vacating a permanent residence and one count of a sexual predator residing within a certain distance of a school, park or playground.

FDLE’s investigation began in January 2026 when agents received a request for assistance from the Coconut Creek Police Department in a case where an adult male was engaging in an inappropriate conversation on Snapchat with a juvenile victim. Investigators identified the adult male as Salak, a registered sexual predator living in Jacksonville.

Further investigation revealed that Salak was using multiple online accounts and email addresses, including Roblox and Discord accounts, that were not registered with the state as required by Florida law.

On Feb. 10, FDLE agents along with the Coconut Creek Police Department and Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested Salak and transported him to Duval County Jail.

The State Attorney’s Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit is prosecuting the case.
