LUTZ, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Sean Lynch, 76, of Lutz, for possession of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) and possession of pornographic videos depicting sexual activity between a person and an animal. The arrest is part of FDLE’s statewide initiative to identify and apprehend offenders who target children and share files depicting child sexual abuse.

Through a proactive investigation initiated by FDLE agents, an identification was made of a computer device that was sharing CSAM on the internet. Agents received a direct download of files from the offender, which contained known CSAM content. Through investigative methods, agents located the device at a Lutz residence, later confirmed to be Lynch’s.

On Aug. 7, agents executed a search warrant at Lynch’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices. Further digital forensic analysis resulted in the identification of numerous files containing images that depicted child sexual abuse.

Lynch was arrested on 10 charges of possession of child sexual abuse materials and one charge of possession of pornographic videos depicting sexual activity between a person and an animal. He was transported to Hillsborough County Jail, where he was given a $102,500 bond.

The case is being prosecuted by Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution. The investigation is active.
