April 30, 2026
STARKE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Gary Eugene Adams, 59, of Starke, on five counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device. This arrest is the result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children.
FDLE’s investigation began on Apr. 23 after agents received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip reported that an individual was uploading and sharing multiple files depicting child sexual abuse through a social media account. Agents later identified Adams as the owner of the account.
On Apr. 29, FDLE agents, together with the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Adams and transported him to the Bradford County Jail. During the arrest, agents seized his cellphone.
The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution is prosecuting the case.
The investigation remains active. Additional charges may be forthcoming pending further forensic analysis.
