FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 24, 2026
GILCHRIST COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Willis Charles Douglas, 31, of Trenton, and Coty Jade Streit, 31, of Bell. These arrests are the result of FDLE’s statewide initiative to locate and arrest criminals targeting children and sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children.
Douglas is charged with one count, each, of transmission of child pornography by electronic device and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Streit is charged with 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, one count of transmission of child pornography by electronic device, and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Both investigations were initiated after FDLE agents received cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
On Apr.20, FDLE and the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) served a search warrant at Douglas’ residence and seized Douglas’ phone. The investigation revealed Douglas was downloading and sharing files depicting the sexual abuse of children through a social network account. Further investigation identified Douglas as the owner of the account and email.
FDLE agents discovered Streit was using an electronic payment application to purchase child sexual abuse material with Bitcoin. Further investigation revealed Streit was using his Instagram account to receive, transmit and solicit digital files depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as infants. Streit was arrested on Apr. 22.
Douglas and Streit were booked into the Gilchrist County Jail. The GCSO and the HSI INTERCEPT Task Force agents assisted with the search warrants and arrests.
Douglas’ case is being prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney for the Eighth Judicial Circuit. Streit’s case is being prosecuted by the Office of Statewide Prosecution in Jacksonville.
Both investigations remain active.
