FDLE, HCSO, FDC arrest 8 in Operation Trick Bag

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – Inspectors and agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) partnered with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) in a joint sexual offender/predator initiative that involved completing compliance checks with registrants on active supervision with FDC, resulting in 8 arrests of sexual predators and sexual offenders.
Throughout the operation over the Halloween holiday, agents focused on compliance checks, address verifications and identifying potential registration violations.
FDLE and HCSO investigators traveled to 61 addresses to confirm that the sexual offender and sexual predator registrants are complying with Florida’s registration laws. Eight registrants were arrested for not complying with Florida’s registration laws and transported to the Hernando County Jail.
The following sexual offenders and sexual predators were arrested during these two operations:

FDLE’s Enforcement and Investigative Support (EIS) Unit partners with sheriff’s offices, police departments and federal law enforcement across Florida to verify compliance with Florida’s registration laws requiring sex offenders and predators to report to their local sheriff’s office and provide information including residential addresses, telephone numbers, vehicle information, internet identifiers, photograph, passport and conviction information.
