Active Hearing Protection Program

During the 2025-26 legislative session, the Florida Legislature appropriated $2,000,000 to Starkey Laboratories to provide active hearing protection devices to Florida law enforcement officers. These devices are designed to reduce harmful noise exposure while preserving situational awareness in the field.

Devices will be shipped directly to eligible agencies on a first-come, first-served basis, as determined by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).
