2021 Success Stories

January 2021—Orange County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 98-year-old male. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

January 2021—Escambia County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 75-year-old female. A member from a local health facility saw the alert, recognized the subject, and called law enforcement.

March 2021—Lake County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 78-year-old male. A Lee County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

March 2021—Marion County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called law enforcement.

April 2021—Polk County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 75-year-old female. A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

April 2021—Indian River County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male. A Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

May 2021—Broward County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 70-year-old female. A Broward County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

May 2021—Hillsborough County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 77-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called law enforcement.

May 2021—Orange County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 81-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called FDLE MEPIC. MEPIC provided the tip to the Florida Highway Patrol who recovered him.

June 2021—Dade County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 77-year-old male. A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and called FDLE MEPIC. MEPIC provided the tip to the Florida Highway Patrol who recovered the him.

July 2021—Polk County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 56-year-old female. A Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO)” at a gas station.

August 2021—Clay County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 81-year-old female. A citizen saw the Silver Alert, recognized the subject at a gas station, and called law enforcement.

September 2021—Hillsborough County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 85-year-old male and 79-year-old female. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

September 2021—Sarasota County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male. A Manatee County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO)” parked in a parking lot.

September 2021—Columbia County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 69-year-old male. A Columbia County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

October 2021—Clay County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 80-year-old male. An Alachua County Sheriff’s deputy recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

December 2021—Broward County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 78-year-old female. A Davie Police Department officer recognized the vehicle from the FDLE issued Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”

 

Florida Department of Law Enforcement Priorities

FDLE is composed of five areas: Executive Direction and Business Support, Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Information, Criminal Justice Professionalism and Florida Capitol Police.
