2020 Success Stories

January 2020 – Clay County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 85-year-old male.  A citizen recognized the 85-year-old from the Silver Alert and contacted law enforcement.
 
January 2020 – Marion County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 87-year-old female.  A Kennedy Space Center Security Officer recognized the 87-year-old female from the Silver Alert and recovered her safely.
 
February 2020 – Walton County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male.  The 83-year-old male recognized his own vehicle description from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and contacted law enforcement.
 
February 2020 – Charlotte County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 78-year-old male.  A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert “Be on the Lookout (BOLO).”
February 2020 – Volusia County
 
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 87-year-old male. A Duval County School Police Officer recognized his vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and recovered him safely.
 
February 2020 – Dade County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 84-year-old female and an 85-year-old female.  A citizen recognized their vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
February 2020 – Duval County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 88-year-old male.  Two off-duty police officers recognized the 88-year-old male’s vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
March 2020 – Osceola County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 67-year-old male.  A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
April 2020 – Manatee County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 75-year-old female.  A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
April 2020 – Pinellas County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 79-year-old male.  An employee at a hotel recognized the 79-year-old from the Silver Alert and contacted law enforcement.
 
June 2020 – Duval County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 91-year-old male.  A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
June 2020 – Okaloosa County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 69-year-old female.  A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
June 2020 – Hillsborough County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 73-year-old female.  An employee at a gas station recognized the 73-year-old from the Silver Alert and contacted law enforcement.
 
June 2020 – Polk County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 73-year-old female.  A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
July 2020 – Charlotte County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male.  A Lee County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
August 2020 – Dade County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 73-year-old male.  A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
August 2020 – Bay County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 73-year-old male.  A Gulf County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs.
 
August 2020 – Brevard County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 83-year-old male.  The vehicle was located by a license-plate reader and identified as a result of the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
September 2020 – Hernando County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 63-year-old male.  A citizen located the subject at an interstate rest-stop and contacted MEPIC.  Through coordination with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the 63-year-old was located safely.
 
October 2020 – Lake County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 82-year-old male.  A Martin County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
October 2020 – Hillsborough County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 84-year-old male.  A Flagler County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
October 2020 – Osceola County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 76-year-old female.  The 76-year-old female recognized her own vehicle description from the Department of Transportation dynamic message sign and contacted law enforcement.
 
November 2020 – Highlands County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 73-year-old male.  A citizen recognized the vehicle from the Department of Transportation dynamic message signs and contacted law enforcement.
 
December 2020 – Palm Beach County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 87-year-old male.  A Florida Highway Patrol Trooper recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
December 2020 – Osceola County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 65-year-old male.  The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle through the use of a traffic camera.  The vehicle was identified as a result of the Silver Alert BOLO.
 
December 2020 – Polk County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for an 89-year-old male.  A Florida Fish and Wildlife Officer recognized the 89-year-old male from the Silver Alert BOLO as an unidentified individual that had been located earlier the same day.  The 89-year-old male was identified as a result of the Silver Alert.
 
December 2020 – Brevard County
A Florida Silver Alert was issued for a 70-year-old male.  A Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized the vehicle from the Silver Alert BOLO.
