FDLE arrests Perry man for child pornography | 4/13/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with the assistance of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, today arrested Edward Carl Pitts, 63, of 471 Leon Ward Road, Perry, Florida, on 4 counts of possession of child pornography.

 

FDLE finds missing Georgia child safely | 4/12/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement found missing Georgia toddler, 18-month-old Carter Johnson, in an apartment on NW 57th Court in Tamarac, Florida.  A Georgia AMBER Alert had been issued for the child last Friday after his noncustodial father, Willis Johnson, 31, took him across state lines.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announce an additional charge of witness tampering against former Carrabelle PD Officer Glenn Darius Hampton May, 50, after an investigation showed he was communicating with the victim in his sexual battery case.

The Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute graduated 36 first-line supervisors from the Florida Leadership Academy today. These graduates serve in leadership roles and represent 26 criminal justice agencies throughout the state.

Agents with FDLE Orlando are warning residents about a drug known as “super pill” which is now being found in Central Florida and contains deadly levels of fentanyl.

FDLE arrests Fort Walton Beach pair for human trafficking | 3/17/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, along with the Okaloosa and Walton County Sheriff’s Offices, arrested Tyler Hale, 45, and Jennifer Pope, 45, both of Fort Walton Beach, Florida after an investigation revealed they ran a human trafficking ring involving multiple victims operating in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with the assistance of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, today arrested David Bryan, 45, of 16224 Magnolia Hill Street, Clermont, Florida, on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Larry Wayne Putney, 51, of 5881 Molino Road, Molino, Florida, on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

 

FDLE arrests Tampa man for 100 counts of child pornography | 3/8/2016
Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Saeed Tichinni Mobley, 28, of 1822 Cadillac Circle, Tampa, Florida, on 100 counts of possession of child pornography, and four counts of transmission of child pornography.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, along with Florida Department of Corrections, today arrested sex offender Jesse William Oller, 49, of 5918 Iona Drive, Orlando, Florida, on two counts of possession of child pornography and violation of probation.

FDLE receives reaccreditation by state commission | 2/29/2016
Commissioner Richard Swearingen accepted the department’s re-accreditation award from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation at the February commission meeting.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Ivan Jarrett Hendricks, 47, of Jay, Florida, on 25 counts of possession of child pornography.

Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Barry Cahoon, 72, of 1963 Turnbull Lakes Drive, New Symrna Beach, Fla., on 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
