FDLE: 3 aliens arrested in Miami for drug trafficking

MIAMI – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announces the arrests of two illegal aliens and a legal resident alien in Miami during a drug trafficking operation. The arrests are the result of a State Assistance for Fentanyl Eradication (S.A.F.E.) investigation.
 
Carlos Alberto Sexto, 52, an illegal alien, is charged with trafficking over 200 grams of methamphetamine, delivering cocaine and methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and child abuse.
 
Jorge Barbaro Vento Soler, 55, an illegal alien, is charged with trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine, trafficking over 14 grams of amphetamine, delivering cocaine and methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and delivery of a controlled substance.
 
Dayana Luis Gutierrez, 33, a legal permanent resident alien, is charged with trafficking over 200 grams of methamphetamine, delivering cocaine and methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school and child abuse.
 
FDLE and the S.A.F.E. Task Force initiated the investigation in July 2023. The S.A.F.E. Task Force includes the City of Miami Police Department, the City of Sweetwater Police Department, the City of Doral Police Department, the City of Hialeah Police Department, the Florida International University Police Department and the Town of Medley Police Department.
 
Agents, detectives, intelligence analysts and forensic scientists dedicated hundreds of hours into this complex investigation that led to the arrests and the seizure of more than one kilogram of methamphetamine, nearly 400 grams of cocaine, $26,031 in cash and two vehicles during the investigation.
 
Sexto, Soler and Gutierrez were arrested on June 10 and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Corrections Center in Miami. Sexto and Soler currently have final deportation orders.
 
The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and the Miami Beach Police Department all assisted with the investigation.
 
The investigation remains active.
