JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announces the arrest of Vincent Allen Wiley, 38, of Jacksonville, for trafficking fentanyl and related crimes. FDLE agents also seized more than four pounds of fentanyl, more than 1 pound of cocaine, more than 3 pounds of PCP, $52,000 in cash, 38 firearms, a cocaine press and a money counting machine from Wiley’s residence.

The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force, an anti-crime partnership between FDLE, the St. John’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Putnam Sheriff’s Office, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Palatka Police Department, St. Augustine Beach Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, ATF, and the Northeast Florida HIDTA initiative.

The investigation began when information developed by the Task Force identified Wiley as a suspect actively trafficking fentanyl in Northeast Florida. Agents and investigators successfully conducted multiple controlled drug purchase operations.

On Jan. 29, FDLE, with the assistance of the Florida Highway Patrol, arrested Wiley following a traffic stop. Agents also served a search warrant on his residence and FDLE agents seized large quantities of drugs, cash and firearms.

Wiley was transported to the Duval County Jail without incident. The bond is set at approximately $1.8 million. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Fourth Judicial Circuit.

The investigation remains active.
