FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. – Inspectors, agents and analysts with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement partnered with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, the Tallahassee Police Department, the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Office of Statewide Intelligence and the State Attorney’s Office for the Second Judicial Circuit to conduct Operation Summer Hurricane, resulting in six arrests.   
 
“Thanks to the many law enforcement partners involved in Operation Summer Hurricane, six predators, including one illegal alien, who targeted Florida children were caught and will face prosecution,” said Attorney General James Uthmeier. “Florida families should know that we will use every tool available to put these offenders behind bars and make our state the safest place in the nation to raise a family.”

The three-day online operation targeted predators who were engaging in sexually explicit and harmful communication, transmitting child sexual abuse material, and arranging to meet a minor for sexual activity.
 
During the investigation, contact was made with 46 suspects in Franklin County. Six arrests were made, including one registered sexual offender and one illegal alien from Mexico.

Jose De Jesus Salazar Gomez is an illegal alien with an active immigration detainer. William Jared Breski is a registered sexual offender.
 
The six suspects face charges including solicitation of a minor, unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, transmission of child sexual abuse material, obscene communication with a minor, promoting a sexual performance by a child, attempted human trafficking of a minor and traveling to meet a minor. Baker is also facing charges on fleeing and eluding with property damage, reckless driving and dangerous excessive speeding.
