For Immediate Release
April 22, 2025
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested
registered sex offender Chasyn John Rance, 42, of Orlando, on three felony counts of providing false sexual offender registration information and three felony counts of failing to comply with sexual offender reporting requirements.
The case was initiated on March 5, 2025, after FDLE received a complaint about Rance from a concerned citizen.
Rance was convicted in Orange County on July 18, 2011, for lewd and lascivious battery and has a lifetime requirement to register as a sexual offender in Florida.
FDLE inspectors initiated a criminal review of Rance’s sexual offender registration records and found that in 2021 he reported being self-employed with Team Vision LLC, a local professional wrestling training organization. Further investigation revealed that Rance had two email accounts associated with the business which had not been properly reported in accordance with Florida’s sexual offender registration laws. The investigation also determined that Rance had failed to report a change in his vehicle information.
An arrest warrant was issued and Rance was arrested on April 2, 2025. He was booked into the Orange County Jail. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney Ninth Judicial Circuit.
The investigation was conducted by the FDLE Enforcement and Investigative Services (EIS) Bureau.
FDLE’s EIS Bureau partners with sheriff’s offices, police departments and federal law enforcement across Florida to verify compliance with Florida’s registration laws requiring sex offenders and predators to report to their local sheriff’s office and provide information including residential addresses, telephone numbers, vehicle information, internet identifiers, photograph, passport and conviction information.
