HOLIDAY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Mario Pizza, 18, for 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials and one count of promoting the sexual performance of a child.

The investigation began in late October 2023 when an undercover internet operation was initiated to identify persons distributing child sexual abuse materials. During investigation, an IP address was identified as having downloaded over 100 notable files. Upon further research, the physical address connected to the IP address was identified as Pizza’s residence.

On April 11, agents executed a search warrant for Pizza’s residence. Agents seized multiple electronic devices for further examination. During the execution of the search warrant, agents found images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, some as young as infants and toddlers.

Pizza was booked into the Pasco County Jail on a $160,000 bond. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General Ashley Moody's Office of Statewide Prosecution.
