FDLE arrests Cape Coral man for possession of child sexual abuse material

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Special agents with the FDLE Fort Myers Regional Operations Center Cyber Squad arrested Jeremy Beamenderfer, 47, of Cape Coral, and charged him with six counts of possession of child sexual abuse material in violation of Florida Statute 827.071(5)(a), a third-degree felony.
The investigation began when agents when agents discovered an IP address being utilized to share child sexual abuse material. 
On August 31, agents served a search warrant at Beamenderfer’s residence and found a laptop computer in his office that contained the child sexual abuse material. Agents made the arrest after forensic examinations of Beamenderfer’s computer uncovered videos of children involved in sex acts.
Beamenderfer was arrested September 9, and booked into the Lee County Jail. The case will be prosecuted by Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
