GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. – FDLE agents, with the assistance of the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, today arrested Cortez Burns, 21, of Quincy, on two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation began in November of last year when agents received information of a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. An additional cyber tip indicating the same subject was received on June 9 of this year.  With the assistance of the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, FDLE served a residential search warrant at Burns’ home in Quincy. The investigation showed that Burns uploaded and downloaded several videos and images of child sexual abuse material featuring children as young as two years of age.

Burns was booked into the Gadsden County Jail. Additional charges are dependent upon completion of forensics exams. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Second Judicial Circuit.
