Public Service Recognition Week

Members,
I want each of you to know how much I appreciate the vital role you play in keeping Florida safe.  Our mission is to promote public safety and in many ways FDLE is a melting pot of what it takes to accomplish that mission.
FDLE agents and analysts are on the front lines investigating crimes and threats to Florida.  Our scientists are working to provide valuable information to our local law enforcement partners.  Our members in Criminal Justice Information Services ensure accuracy in criminal histories so a trooper, officer or deputy can make informed decisions during traffic stops.  Our IT members provide consultation to improve our computer systems and those used daily by our law enforcement partners.  Our Professionalism members are dedicated to maintaining records on sworn law enforcement statewide and helping to develop training and curriculum for those officers.  Capitol Police officers and Protective Operations agents ensure Florida lawmakers can get their jobs done safely.  And members in Business Support keep everything running efficiently so we can focus on serving the public.
Thank you for your professionalism and dedication, for working long hours, during hurricanes and holidays, to make Florida a better place to live, work and visit.  In honor of Public Service Recognition Week, I want to remind our members that our mission matters, our work matters and you matter.
