SANTA ROSA, Fla. – Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement today arrested Jeffery Perkins, 33, for two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation by offender over the age of 18 of a victim less than 12 years of age.  An arrest warrant was served on Perkins at the Walton County Jail. He was arrested last December and recently pled guilty to 18 counts of child pornography.

The current investigation began in December after FDLE Pensacola received information that Perkins molested a child several years ago.

Perkins had been a deputy with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.  He will remain in Walton County Jail on $1.9 million dollars bond.  This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 1st Judicial Circuit.
