ORLANDO, Fla. – FDLE agents recently arrested Frank Roy Latin, 47, of 409 Lake Annie Dr., Apopka, for violating his probation as a sex offender and for possessing child pornography.

Agents were advised by the Buchanan (GA) Police Department that Latin, a sex offender on probation from a previous FDLE arrest, was communicating online with an undercover officer posing as an underage girl. Under the conditions of Latin’s probation, he was to have no Internet access. Based on the allegations, agents went to Latin’s home and found a smartphone that belonged to him but had not been registered with State Probation. When agents searched the device, they found images of child pornography.

While on scene, agents also found evidence of soliciting a minor and transmission of child pornography, which supports the investigation initiated by the Buchanan Police.

Latin was taken to the Orange County Jail on a no-bond status. The State Attorney’s Office, 9th Judicial Circuit, will prosecute the case.
