FDLE arrests Leon High School student for threat

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – FDLE agents arrested a Leon High School student yesterday for written threats to kill or do bodily harm.

On November 5, 2019, the suspect, who had changed her mobile phone’s name to “School Shooter,” Airdropped a school shooting threat to several students. Information was obtained from IP logins, witnesses and the suspect herself, which led to an arrest warrant being obtained for the suspect.

The suspect, who is now an adult but was a juvenile at the time of the crime, was arrested without incident and booked into the Leon County Jail.

Law enforcement and school administrators across the state are increasingly focusing on threats related to schools. Parents are urged to remind their children that making such threats, even as a “joke,” is a crime.
