TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – As the holidays approach, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Rick Swearingen reminds citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious behavior to law enforcement.  “If You See Something, Say Something, ™” call 855-FLA-SAFE or report online at FDLE’s website. 
 
“Our nation’s security is a shared responsibility and every citizen plays a critical role in identifying and reporting suspicious activities and threats,” said FDLE Commissioner Rick Swearingen.  “The See Something, Say Something campaign urges citizens to report possible terrorist activity to law enforcement.  Reporting like this can prevent terrorist attacks.”
 
Tips received through the hotline and online reporting form are answered by the Florida Fusion Center, a 24-hour watch desk at FDLE, where intelligence analysts assess the information and work with the state’s Regional Domestic Security Task Forces.

 Officials encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it to local authorities or call 1-855-FLA-SAFE (1-855-352-7233).  It can also be reported online through FDLE’s website at www.fdle.state.fl.us.  For all emergencies, call “911.”
